Crystal Growing Kits

This crystal growing kits are designed for ages of 14 years and older. If it would be designed for ages under 14 it would be a "chemical toy" and subject to harsh regulations regarding type and amount of chemicals included.
Following this regulations I could only produce an almost worthless gimmick kit.
So the age border of 14 doesnīt mean it might be to difficult or to dangerous for any younger. The ALUM kit may be used by kids 10 years and older the other ones with about 12 years and older.
However adult supervision should be provided !
If you are going in depth, varying growing conditions, colors, crystal shapes, growing crystal combinations, its a wortwhile pasttime also for adults.
Each kit will provide material for the growth of a number of single crystals and crystal specimens. Refillment packages are available, see CHEMIKALIEN (so far only in German !).
The procedure of growing crystals is quite easy, you disolve the chemicals in hot water and let the saturated solution cool down or you use the evaporation or the supersaturation method.
First results can be obtained within 24 hours. You donīt need any special equipment just regular kitchen equipment and household ware will do it. (And yes its microwaveable !)
The ready crystals make up a nice collection or nice gifts.

	Crystal Growing Kit Type ADP Grows clear colorless "rock crystals", needle shaped "natrolithes" and bright green "apophyllites" up to 15 cms size. This kits needs some experience and patience but this will be rewarded with nice results. Price : US $ 19.95 / DM 29.50
	Crystal Growing Kit Type ALUM Grows clear colorless and pink to deep purple amethyst colored octahedrons up to 10 cms size. Allows also the growth of "phantom crystals" and can be combined with type AMAG and type CUSEI. This kit is recommended for beginners as it is very simple and easy to do. First results may be obtained within 24 hours ! Price : US $ 19.95 / DM 29.50
	Crystal Growing Kit Type AMAG Grows colorless, green, yellow, reddish pink and orange blocky crystals up to 5 cms size. This kit allows to produce a lot of different color shades by adding and mixing the basic colors. Itzs also possible to grow phantom crystals and to combine this kit with the kit type ALUM. Price : US $ 19.95 / DM 29.50
	Crystal Growing Kit Type CUSEI Grows big clear colorless columns of rochelle salt, platy and needle shaped crystals of copper doped aquamarine blue colored rochelle salt and bright blue crystals of pure copper sulfate of to several cms size. The copper sulfate crystals are easy to grow hence the rochelle salt needs some more experience to get nice results. Copper sulfate may be combined with the kit type ALUM. Price : US $ 19.95 / DM 29.50
