DIGITAL 3D-PICTURES

I had to try this and it worked. I wanted to create a 3D-picture on my computer screen in full color and without using special viewing glasses.
However nothing is perfect you actualy will see three pictures !
(Of course, its "3D" ! ;-) - or what did you expect ?)
Okay here is how it works. There is one picture which is centered in a 800x600 pixel black rectangle.(You need to scroll a little bit to get it in the center of your browsers window).
The picture is stitched together from two single ones of the same object which have been taken with a slight right and left center offset - to simulate the two eyed viewing as your eyes are also set off right and left in your face.

How to view 3D

  • Scroll your browsers window, so that the picture is in the middle with no white borders left and right or on the top and on the bottom
  • View your computers screen from farther than usual. I have a 14 inch diameter monitor and to view 3D I start about 42 inches away from the screen.
So three times your screens diameter would be a guess!
  • Try to focus an (imiginary) point in the middle of the two objects behind the screen so that the two images come closer together
  • Try to overlay the two images
  • SNAP ! Now your bio chips did the rest and you will see 3 images, with the one in the middle being three dimensional - Donīt try to grap the crystal itīs not there!
If you never did this before you may have to try hard. Remember the "magic" pictures which have been so popular some times ago. Some people got it within seconds others realy did not see a thing - but trust me its working !
If you found out how to, the next time will be easy and its fun to zapp the image back and for between 2D and 3D.
Once you have managed 3D-viewing you may try to come closer to the screen. But there is a limit and going further may cause you some headache after a while !
